Learning support - SEN policy

A summary of the policy appears in the school's prospectus insert. A full copy of the policy statement is available from the school office and is on the school website (see Special Educational Needs Policy). This includes detailed information on our admission policy, primary liaison, identification, assessment, integration and partnership with parents.

The Learning Support Faculty plays an integral role in the school's work to enhance learning and raise achievement. High priority is given to training needs relating to special educational needs.

The Learning Support Faculty forms an integral part of the school structure, receiving its own capitation and having representation on Heads of Faculty meetings, Senior Staff meetings, Year Heads meetings and at pupil review meetings. In order to ensure representation at governor level, a school governor (Caroline Fowke) is invited to take a particular interest in the work of the faculty and in the welfare of the pupils.
