Learning support - partnership with parents

The partnership and co-operation with parents in the education of their children is one of the school's aims and as such determines the Special Educational Needs policy.

. Parents may be seen individually before entry to discuss provision.

. Parents of statemented pupils are invited to the pupil's annual review meetings.

. Parents are invited to take part in the paired reading schemes on offer to pupils having learning difficulties.

. Parents are kept informed by letter, telephone or the pupil's homework diary, of any changes in provision.

. Parents are sent copies of IEPs and invited into school to discuss and review these with the SENCO.
