Sheldon School has been redesignated as a Science College for another four years. The school became one of the country's first Science Colleges in 2002 and like all others had to submit 
new plans for a second phase of specialist school status.
As a Science College, Sheldon receives additional funding to improve resources in science, mathematics and now technology. Science College activities involve parents, primary schools and local businesses as well as benefiting all the students in the school.
