Sheldon was awarded specialist Science College status in 2002. This has provided extra resources in science for developing the main themes of science, mathematics and ICT throughout the school.

Pupils enjoy lessons delivered through a wide range of learning styles and teaching techniques supported by interactive whiteboards - providing an extremely valuable tool for learning.
An important focus of our science college activities has been the environment. We are Wiltshire's biggest recycler of white paper. We have solar panels generating electricity on the roof of our new laboratory and we have wind-generated car park lights.
