Application forms to join next year's Year 12 are available for external applicants on our website, as is our prospectus. Completed forms should be with the Sixth Form Office as soon as possible. If you require any further information please contact us on 01249 766036 or email email@example.com.
All students are expected to have achieved at least one GCSE Grade 4 and one GCSE Grade 5 in English and Mathematics. In addition, students should also have at least three Grade Cs or better from their other GCSE courses.
Many subjects will also require a grade B or above (or equivalent) in one or more course-related GCSE subjects. See our prospectus for full details.
What if I currently attend a school other than Sheldon?
You are most welcome to apply. Every year many students come to join us from other schools. They settle well and enjoy their studies here.
How many subjects will I study?
Year 12 students take four subjects/courses. Many students reduce this to three main courses in Year 13, but those that want to can continue with all four.
Will I get my first choice of courses?
The vast majority of students get to study their four first choice courses, a few get three out of four. Our timetable is designed to fit your choices, not the other way round.
How should I choose courses?
Firstly, think about your career ambitions and research any specific requirements. Then think about what you are good at and what you enjoy.
What are standards like?
Sheldon has consistently had the best A level results in Wiltshire. Our most recent results can be found in our Prospectus.
