KS3

Students have one lesson per week in Computing at KS3. The course has been designed to develop student's digital literacy as well as developing programming and computing skills.

Students enjoy a varied diet of computing and technology; and it changes from year to year as new developments in technology come on stream. The BBC Microbit project has been a big hit with students, alongsdie Sonic Pi and Codeacademy.

Students are taught in mixed ability tutor groups as we feel that this gives us the correct blend of learners in our lessons. All students have areas of ICT that they enjoy and they are always keen and able to support others in lessons.

Internet safety is a major part of our Key Stage 3 course.  We provide students with the knowledge to stay safe online and teach them the importance of managing their digital footprint carefully.
