Miss Emma le Fleming

 Assistant Headteacher

Having graduated from Bedford College I started my career at Sheldon. I found myself in an outstanding PE department in an excellent school and fell in love with teaching!  I went on to be Head of Girls’ PE and a head of year for 13 years before gaining promotion to my current role in 2003. My role is varied and includes staff development, health and safety, and overseeing the care and guidance of pupils in  Key Stage 3.

Sheldon has changed in many ways since I joined. However, it retains it’s very special character. It has always been a happy, ambitious and forward-looking centre of excellence and Sheldon is an exciting place to work and learn.

I am proud to be working in a school that truly serves the Chippenham community and where we seek to work with parents to develop in pupils the skills and confidence not just to achieve but to explore their own ideas and the world in which they live.

It gives me great pleasure when I meet, and usually remember, ex-pupils who now are Sheldon parents with children who are starting their own journey with us.
