At Sheldon School we place a precedence on promoting pupil well-being.
Recognising that many pupils with SEND can experience times of social difficulty and vulnerability, we welcome our pupils to the Learning Support department during unstructured time: before school, break and at lunchtimes. We run a lunchtime club, Hi5, for our most vulnerable pupils. Pupils come to Hi5 Club to eat their lunch together, play games, socialise with peers, and talk with key members of the Learning Support Team. We also run a Breakfast Club for pupils who are feeling anxious at the start of the day.
Members of the Learning Support Faculty liaise regularly with class teachers, tutors, Heads of Year, outside agencies and families to promote the well-being of pupils with SEND.
