The Drummond Education Award

The Drummond Education Award : A Level Design and Technology: Food Technology  winner.

The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) runs The Drummond Education Award scheme for GCSE and A-level to promote interest in, and awareness of, good practice in food and nutrition and to recognise and reward the achievements of outstanding students and their teachers in this subject area.

A Sheldon student, Emily Alice Kirkman is the winner of this year’s BNF Drummond Education Award for A-level Design & Technology: Food Technology for the AQA Awarding Organisation.

The Award consists of a certificate presented on the 20th November in a ceremony in London, a £100 prize for the student and a £200 prize for the school. It is hoped that the awards will inspire some of the winners to pursue a career in food and nutrition.
