The Scholarship will be presented to the boys in a ceremony in London, hosted by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. The theme of the Awards Ceremony this year is ‘Aerospace’ and the Principal Sponsor is The RAF with support being provided by the IET.

Mr Harrison, one of Sheldon’s Technology teachers said “I am extremely pleased these hardworking students have been awarded the prestigious Arkwright engineering scholarship, showing that hard work and determination really do pay off”.

Sameer expressed his ‘delight’ at winning the award which will provide £600 sponsorship money; whilst Rawshan explained he was one of last students to receive notification that he had won and left him feeling ‘ecstatic’.
