Chippenham Games

The Chippenham Games is an annual event that brings together Year 6 pupils from across Chippenham for a two-day sports festival at Stanley Park. Children are grouped with pupils from other primary schools who will be attending the same secondary school, giving them a fantastic opportunity to build new friendships ahead of September.

Throughout the event, pupils take part in a range of exciting physical activities and challenges, including indo boarding, archery and lacrosse. It’s a wonderful opportunity to try something new, develop confidence and teamwork skills, and make the transition to secondary school both positive and enjoyable.

A huge thank you to Stanley Park and Chippenham Town Council for their continued support, to the Young Leaders who volunteered their time to encourage, inspire and support the younger members of our community, and to all the coaches and activity leaders whose expertise, enthusiasm and encouragement helped create such a positive and memorable experience for every child.

Finally, a huge well done to all the children who attended the Games. Even before joining us in September, you demonstrated the Sheldon values of being Brave, Kind and the Being the Best You. We can't wait to see you all again on Thursday and look forward to giving you a proper Sheldon welcome in September!
