GCSE Results Day - Tomorrow
Don't forget that GCSE Results Day is tomorrow, Thursday 20 August from 8:30am-10:30am in the Sixth Form Study Room.
Students will be able to collect their results from 8:30am-10:30am in the Sixth Form Study Area. There will be a range of staff available to celebrate their results with them and support any next steps. After this, the results can be collected from the main school reception. Results are the property of the student and will not be passed to anyone else without the student's prior written consent. Results cannot be provided over the telephone. The exams office requires the student's prior consent for somebody else to collect their results. More exams information can be found here.
If you would like to request access to scrips, clerical re-check, review of marking or review of moderation, please click here. Completed forms can be submitted to exams@sheldonschool.co.uk. Please note that there are some very tight deadlines for making these requests. If you have any questions about the process please speak to a member of our Exams Team tomorrow.
In addition to their results, students will also have a message from the Sixth Form Team to confirm which of the following applies:
1. The minimum entry criteria of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above and all individual subject criteria have been met
No action is needed, although students / parents / carers are very welcome to request a phone call or meeting if the student wishes to alter their subject choices. Any such changes will be subject to (1) the new choice fits on the timetable (2) entrance criteria for the newly chosen subjects have been met (3) there is space in the class.
2. The minimum entry criteria of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or have been met, but some or all subject criteria have not been met.
We will ask students to provide alternative subject choices. Students and parents/carers may also request a meeting to discuss their options and there will be staff available to help, guide and assist students with new choices or this can happen via email or between 1-4 Sept as we know some people will be on holiday.
3. The minimum entry criteria of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above have not been met.
Students may already have another plan but staff, including our Careers Adviser, are available to discuss alternative post-16 routes.
4. Students who have not yet applied to Sheldon Sixth Form are still welcome to do so.
Some students will only decide this on results day. We welcome all such applications and ask for a direct contact to the Sixth Form Team to discuss courses. This may be done in-person on the day, via email or on 1-4 September.
External Candidates: If you have already applied to Sheldon Sixth Form, please email a photo of your results to espiers@sheldonschool.co.uk. If you would like to apply for Sheldon Sixth Form, there are still places available. Begin your application here.
