Outstanding Sporting Achievements

17 Jul 26

Congratulations to the following students who have achieved fantastic results in their favourite sports!

Otis - High Jump

Congratulations to Sheldon Sixth Form Year 13 student, Otis, who retained his National Schools title at the weekend, winning the Senior Boys High Jump with a personal best clearance of 2.21m. The second placed athlete cleared 2.07m. This puts him amongst the top 5 High Jumpers in the country this year. Otis is now leaving Sheldon and we wish him all the best in his athletics future as he heads to the US on a scholarship. He will be representing Great Britain this summer in the World U20 Athletics Championships in Oregon. Congratulations and good luck Otis!

Connor - Trampoline

Congratulations to Connor in Year 9 for winning 2nd Place at the 2026 English Trampoline Double Mini Tramp (DMT) Championships in the 15-16 year bracket at the Telford International Centre.

Fin - Racing

We'd like to extend a huge congratulations to Fin in Y11 for coming in second in the BAS Scunthorpe British Championships at the end of June!

My favourite teacher was Mr Girvan. It was impossible not to absolutely love English if he taught it. He was just the nicest human being and he never raised his voice at our class once and I had him for years from year 8 to year 12.
