Sheldon Scholars Expansion
We are excited to announce that we will be expanding our Sheldon Scholars programme to provide more mentoring and support for students applying to competitive courses and prestigious universities both in the UK and abroad.
Beginning in the new year, we will be bringing on an external advisor to provide fortnightly mentoring sessions for students currently in Sheldon Sixth Form, as well as those in Year 11 who are interested in getting an advanced start on preparing for university applications. This is in addition to the ongoing support that our Sheldon Scholars receive from Miss Frater and Mr Spiers.
Our Sheldon Scholar programme has successfully supported students applying to Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group universities, as well as competitive courses like veterinary science, medicine and dentistry. Through a series of small group sessions, our programme helps prepare students for entrance exams, interviews and UCAS applications. Our Sheldon Scholar mentors advise students on what universities are looking for and how they can make themselves stand out from the crowd. This is part of our Sheldon Sixth Form Five Star Guarantee to provide specialist UCAS support to our students.
