Once again, our Performing and Expressive Arts faculty produced an outstanding Christmas production with their musical adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The show followed Alice down the rabbit hole as she explored the curious world of the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts. With a huge cast of characters, the show allowed students from all year groups a chance to shine. It also featured musical numbers and dance sequences that were originally produced for our Disneyland Paris showcase in October.

Students began rehearsals for the show in September and have shown exceptional dedication through weeks of after school rehearsals and a busy production week with two matinee shows for primary schools and two evening performances for friends and family. Thank you to all of the lovely audiences who came out to support our the show.

Our school production is always a labour of love that allows us to highlight the acting, dance, musical and artistic talents in our school. Thank you to Mrs Wilkins, Head of Drama, for leading the production and to all of the staff that worked on the show, including co-directors, Mrs Wilkins, Mr White and Mrs Daily, as well as Stage Managers Mrs Southall-Teale and Mrs Campbell. We'd also like to thank Mr Goldsworthy, Mrs Hall and the Production Band for their brilliant performance during the show, as well as Miss Spalding for her choreography. We'd also like to extend a huge thank you to the students that worked tirelessly backstage as stage managers, sound and light technicians and make up artists.

During the interval, our Student Leadership Team sold refreshments to raise funds for our school charity of the year, Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance. If you would like to help support our school fundraising efforts to raise £5000 for the charity, click here.

My favourite teacher was Mr Girvan. It was impossible not to absolutely love English if he taught it. He was just the nicest human being and he never raised his voice at our class once and I had him for years from year 8 to year 12.
