French Language Play
Students in Year 8 and Year 9 who are studying play were treated to a performance by Onatti, a theatre company that specialise in foreign language productions. The entire play was performed in French by French actors, allowing students an opportunity to stretch their comprehension and gain understanding of the story through gestures, use of vocabulary and of course, humour!
The play our students watched was about two teenagers, Léa & Théo, trying to organise a party. There’s just one small problem: No venue, no food, no outfits, no invites sent, no theme and no real idea! There were plenty of laughs and some special guest performances by our own eager student volunteers who volunteered to join the main actors on stage. Très magnifique!
Thank you to our MFL faculty for organising this opportunity to learn through language immersion.
The Friends of Sheldon School generously provided funding to bring this performance to our students.
