Lake District Trip for Ten Tors Teams

15 Sep 25

At the end of last term, our 2025 Ten Tors teams headed to the Lake District for five days of trekking and camping. Twenty-four students attended the trip, marking the end of successful year of training and competing. It was an amazing trip, with breathtaking scenery and a full mix of British weather! We're very proud of our student's resilience, courage and good humour along the trails. Taking part in the Ten Tors Challenge takes dedication and hard work. All of the students involved beautifully demonstrate our Sheldon values to be kind, be brave and be the best you!

Thank you to Mr Page, Mrs Goldsmith, Mrs Teague and Lockey (the official dog of Ten Tors at Sheldon) for all of your hard work organising the training for Ten Tors and for giving students the opportunity to embark on this great adventure! Mr Page will be speaking to assemblies in Years 9-13 about signing up for the Ten Tors Challenge in the next few weeks. If you would like to know more about what to expect, take a look at the Ten Tors area of our website.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
