MFL Club Easter Celebration

27 Mar 26

Our MFL Club and Language Ambassadors recently held an Easter celebration, decorating Ostereier (Easter eggs) and fashioning them onto our Osterbaum (Easter tree). This is a popular German tradition, in which trees are decorated with colourful eggs or branches are brought inside to decorate. While our MFL Club was busy decorating new Ostereier, our Language Ambassadors were hiding last year's eggs which could be exchanged for chocolate! All of the students had a wonderful afternoon, running around the Quad in the sunshine and creating a colourful Osterbaum for the whole school to enjoy. Thank you to Mrs Williams for organising this lovely activity each year, marking the official beginning of spring at Sheldon.

On behalf of the MFL Faculty we'd like to wish all of our Sheldon community Frohe Ostern, Joyeuses Pâques, Felices Pascuas and a very Happy Easter!

Funding for this enrichment activity was provided by the Friends of Sheldon School.

I was head girl in 2015 and loved being able to speak to parents about my time at Sheldon when they were considering where their children should go. Because of how it has shaped me as a person I feel I am who I am today because of my time there.
