We are very pleased to announce that we have won the FFT National Attendance Award for being in the to 25% of most improved secondary schools attendance. Thank you to everyone in the school community for your commitment to improving school attendance. It takes a lot of work from everyone, and this award recognises it.

The award is based on attendance data from thousands of schools. We use the FFT Attendance Tracker to monitor and compare attendance each week so that we can help support children and families that are struggling to come into school. The Most Improved award acknowledges the improvement of our full year attendance between 2024/25 and 2025/26.

Having worked in many schools I can say that the environment at Sheldon School is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The standard of education and relationships I built with teachers were exceptional.
