Sheldon Sixth Form Post 16 Results 2026
The Class of 2026 has once again given Sheldon Sixth Form much to celebrate, achieving a fantastic set of outcomes that build on the school's strongest-ever results achieved last year. In a year of continued success, students have risen to the challenge, demonstrating exceptional commitment and determination to reach their goals.
We are delighted that almost all students have secured their chosen next steps, opening doors to exciting opportunities for the future. These results are a testament to the hard work of our students and the unwavering support of staff, families and the wider Sheldon community.
Headteacher, Pete Lynch, commented on the fantastic results at Sheldon Sixth Form:
We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have achieved. These strong results reflect years of hard work and determination. I wish them every happiness as they embark on the next stage of their journey. Wherever life takes them, they will always remain a valued and cherished part of the Sheldon family.
Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, Eugene Spiers was delighted with these results and expressed his pride in the students’ achievement:
Our students worked incredibly hard and showed real resilience and commitment to achieve these results. This year, in particular, we had a significant number of students who achieved excellent results whilst coping with a range of challenges including car accidents, illness, bereavement, being young carers, having English as second language.
This is the sort of dedication that leads to excellent progress and outcomes that most students were happy with. I would also like to extend my thanks to our hardworking staff and to all the parents and carers for their support. We hope that all the students keep in touch and let us know how they get on in the future.

Several students will also be starting some very competitive higher level and degree apprenticeships including Sayma Ali and Max Jessop. Many students will be embarking on gap years including camps in America, travelling in Africa, Asia etc and at least three students will be off to study abroad – George Calthrop in Canada, Otis Poole in the USA and Daniel Ffinch in the Netherlands.
Amelia Lynch, Max Jessop, William Johns, Poppy Price, Alex Edwards, Ben Piercey and Rose Bryant-Jefferies were amongst the best for ‘progress made from GCSE’.
