Sixth Form Varsity - Football & Hockey

Last week we finally held our Sixth Form Varsity after it was postponed due to February's heavy rain. After a foggy morning, we were treated to a bright and sunny afternoon, perfect for spending lunchtime outside watching some fantastic sport! We had two great Year 12 v Year 13 matches on--football on the field, officiated by Mr Lynch and hockey on the Astro with Mr Spiers in goal. Both matches ended in a draw (even after fierce penalty shoot out that had to be called with the ultimate final whistle, the end of lunch bell!) As we still need to determine which year group will reign supreme this year, our Sixth Form Team will be planning more Varsity events with new sports to get more students involved. 

Thank you to the team captains, managers and players for their fantastic efforts on the pitch and to all the students and staff that came out to show their support.
