Year 10 Maths Champion

We recently shared the news of our fantastic results across Year 9 and Year 10 in the Intermediate Maths Challenge. We would also like to highlight the outstanding results of Oscar in Year 10 who not only achieved the best results at Sheldon, but also made it through to the Hamilton Olympiad.

Each year, only the top 500 scores qualify for the Hamilton Olympiad. This includes Year 10 students in England, Wales and overseas, S3 students in Scotland and Year 11 students in Northern Ireland. This is an incredible honor. In fact, Mr Lynch has noted that in all his years as an educator, he has never had a student receive such outstanding results.

Please join us in congratulating Oscar and wishing him luck on the next stage of the competition. We are very proud of his achievements and can't wait to see what's next for Oscar in his mathematics career.

The school reinforced my core values and built friendships that have continued to this day, drama gave me the confidence to begin to stand in front of strangers and speak to groups.
