Sixth Form Open Evening

Current Year 11 students in Chippenham and beyond are invited to the Sheldon Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 16 October from 5:30pm-7:30pm

Learn more about the courses available, as well as the many extracurricular opportunities at Sheldon Sixth Form. The evening includes a presentation about the school by Head of Sixth Form, Eugene Spiers. The presentation will be held at 5:45pm and 6:15pm. Booking is essential so that we can keep track of numbers in the School Hall.

You will also be able to visit each subject area to find out more about the courses on offer. Current students and faculty staff will be available to answer any questions from new students and their families. It is a great opportunity to find out more about A Level courses, entry requirements and how studying at Sheldon Sixth Form can shape your future education and career pathways. 

We will have stalls set up in the Refectory to highlight electives, extracurricular activities and Project 5000--the Sheldon Sixth Form initiative for students to give back to their community. Some of the activities available to students include:

  • Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award
  • Ten Tors Challenge
  • Volunteering and Mentoring within Sheldon School
  • Core Maths
  • Sixth Form Games
  • British Sign Language 
  • Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
  • Sheldon School Clubs and Student Activities
