Ten Tors
Ten Tors is an annual challenge for young people in the of the South West of England organised by the British Army. Over 2,400 people in 400 teams of six take on hikes of 35, 45 or 55 miles over the Northern half of Dartmoor during the late May Bank Holiday. The teams will visit 10 nominated tors (check points) in under two days, carrying all that they need to complete their route and stay out overnight safely.
We have a long tradition of Sheldon students participating in Ten Tors and offer a full training and preparation programme for students beginning in Year 9. If you are adventurous, looking for a challenge and want to take on a life-changing adventure then Ten Tors is for you!
